If you don't have Internet access or home or at work that you can use for this class, make sure you get your NYU student ID, which will give you access to the NYU computer labs
If you don't have an email address, get one! There are lots of free email ("free-mail") services

In the spirit of this class, you should consider buying the book online.
The most recent edition (1999-2000) is actually cheaper (around $24.00) than the 1998 edition.
