Grading

You will receive an official handout on New York University grading policies during the first class. Please read this handout carefully. Let the instructor know if you are taking this course for a letter grade, a non-evaluative grade, or pass/fail. Class attendance and participation are extremely important and represent the major portion of the grade. Students who miss classes can demonstrate their understanding of the materials through optional assignments. More information about grades will be discussed during the first session.
