National Computer Security Association
The NCSA acts as a computer-security information clearinghouse for companies and government agencies. The group performs a wide variety of functions, ranging from conference sponsorship to product certification. It also hosts consortia on topics such as viruses, firewalls, and biometrics.

RSA Data Security, Inc.
This site runs the gamut of security issues, discussing Java, e-mail, commerce, and personal security.

The World Wide Web Security FAQ
This document, maintained by author Lincoln D. Stein, answers many questions relating to Web server security and includes a short section on Web security from the end user's perspective.

Newsgroups
Dozens of newsgroups are devoted to security issues, ranging from encryption to viruses. The NIH Computer Security Information site maintains a comprehensive list.
